School Mission
St. Mark’s Episcopal School provides an academically enriched program in a nurturing Christian environment.
Community
St. Mark’s Episcopal School was founded in 1979 as a Christian outreach of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. St. Mark’s Church and School are located in Palm Beach County, Florida, three miles inland from the Atlantic Ocean on Florida’s east coast.
School
St. Mark's, which was established by the clergy and parishioners as a preschool alternative, emphasizing a loving and nurturing Christian environment, has grown steadily in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the National Association of Episcopal Schools and the Vestry of the Church. During the past thirty-one years, the following classrooms spaces and programs have been added: 1980-Kindergarten; 1982-Elementary Classes through Grade Six; 1995-Middle School; 2001-Robb Field Sports Complex; 2002-Fine Arts Classroom Building; 2011-Youth Center & Gymnasium; 2012- School and Church Administrative Building; and 2012- Peace Chapel. The School is housed on a five acre site, which is shared with the Church, in addition to a six acre sports complex with multi-purpose field, courts, and pavilion.

The enrollment capacity is 403 in the Lower School and 150 in the Middle School with a total school enrollment of 553.
Admission Criteria
Admission is open to academically qualified students without regard to race, creed, gender, or national origin. St. Mark's Episcopal School seeks students from backgrounds who can contribute to and benefit from its PK2 through grade eight enriched program. Students must meet the School's academic and behavioral standards.

Testing
Students in kindergarten through second grade are assessed using the Children's Progress Academic Assessment (CPAA), and students in third through eighth grade take the CTP-4 (ERB) each spring.
Faculty
The professional staff, administrators, and teachers number 41. All teachers hold, at minimum, a bachelor's degree and a State of Florida certificate or qualify as candidates for a Florida certificate.

Lower School Highlights
Pre-Kindergarten (PK2, PK3, and PK4)
The program is designed to allow children to develop their individual talents and abilities and to experience success in academic and social situations.

Grades K-5
The learning environment in the Lower School is designed to address the emotional, intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual needs of each child. In addition to classroom instruction in language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies, students receive instruction in art, Spanish, Christian education, music, physical education, science lab, and library.

Middle School Highlights
The St. Mark's Middle School Program focuses on the traditional core subjects of English, mathematics, science, and social studies/history while offering additional enrichment courses in foreign language, band, technology, physical education, and religious studies. Elective courses in the arts include visual and graphic art, web design, drama, dance, and photography. The program provides each student with a comprehensive and challenging curriculum that reflects current research. The instructional process enables students to develop critical thinking skills and a love of learning through multi-sensory activities.
