Special activities are provided at each grade level. In addition to the events listed below, field trips and on-campus field experiences, such as plays and musical performances, enrich the curriculum.
PK3
Donuts with Daddy
Students enjoy donuts with Daddy as they participate in classroom activities.
Harvest Day
Dressed in farm attire, students enjoy harvest activities such as square dancing, making butter, and shucking and eating corn on the cob.
God Hunt
Children learn about the presence of God as they follow footprints and collect evidence of God's existence through His earthly creations.
Easter Parade
Girls create Easter bonnets and boys design ties to complement their Sunday best for the Easter parade.
PK4
Pow Wow
Students create their own "buckskin" costumes, headbands, shakers and necklaces. Native American culture comes alive as students, dressed in Indian attire, sing and dance together.
Thanksgiving Feast
Students dress as Indians and, in the tradition of Thanksgiving, they share a special “feast” with kindergarten students dressed as Pilgrims.
Easter Egg Hunt
Students celebrate the Easter season with a traditional Easter egg hunt.
Mother’s Day Tea
Students celebrate Mothers during this heart warming Mother’s Day Tea. A musical program is performed by the children in honor of their mothers.
Dinosaur Day
Students make a colorful painted dinosaur T-shirt that they wear to enjoy crafts, songs, stories, games and a snack at this lively Dinosaur Party.
Kindergarten
Thanksgiving Feast
Students dress as Pilgrims and share a special snack with PK4 students dressed as Indians.
Kindergarten Play: The Christmas Story
Kindergarten students tell the story of Jesus' birth through narration and songs. This play reminds us of the true meaning of Christmas.
Grandparent/Special Friend Day
Students’ welcome Grandparents for a half-day visit to the school, where they will enjoy a breakfast reception, a Eucharist service, a musical program performed by the children, kindergarten classroom activities, and a tour of the School campus.
Field Day
Students participate in fun games and activities at Robb Field, followed by refreshments.
1st Grade
Apple Day
Students experience shapes, flavors and colors as they compare the taste of various apple varieties. Apple Day captures the imagination of students as they make crafts and play games, all with an apple theme.
Hobe Sound Nature Center
Students learn about owls in a special wildlife presentation by a representative of the Hobe Sound Nature Center.
Pumpkin Day
The Fall season comes to life as students work in teams to design and carve pumpkins, make crafts, play games and enjoy a special snack, all with a pumpkin theme.
Christmas Craft Day
Students create ornaments that become treasured heirlooms for many Christmases to come.
1st Grade Musical Program - Goin' Buggy
Students present a lively grade level program about God's creatures through narrations and songs.
2nd Grade
Loggerhead Marinelife Center Field Trip
Students visit the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach to explore the habitats of local sea life..
Going Green Spring Fling
This culminating event for the year features environmentally-friendly, hands-on activities that help students appreciate the benefits of "going green."
2nd Grade Musical Program - Patriotic Program
Students learn many facts about the United States through narrations and songs. This program includes a rap about the Presidents and a song naming all 50 states.
Sea Ya' Later
Students make their own coral reef and learn about erosion and weathering through this on-campus field experience.
Skeletons and Skins
This on-campus field experience for second graders focuses on animal characteristics and their habitats.
3rd Grade
Lion Country Safari Field Trip
Students learn about animal habitats through a field trip to West Palm Beach's Lion Country Safari.
Gingerbread Houses & Reindeer Poetry
Students assemble and decorate festive gingerbread houses and write reindeer poetry in celebration of the Christmas season.
3rd Grade Musical Program - Bones
Students learn the basics of anatomy in a fun and engaging way. The program features Charles Cartilage, a skeleton, who gets knocked over and bones that get amnesia. Through songs and narration, the skeleton is finally put back together, and all is well in the Anatomy Academy's "Hall of Frame."
Everglades Field Trip
Students travel to Ft. Lauderdale for a day long field trip experience that features an airboat ride and a first hand look at the natural habitat of the Everglades.
4th Grade
4th Grade Musical Program - Dig It!
Students explore ancient civilizations through narration, song and dance. The program features dancing skeletons, mummies and a Toga Party and helps students learn about Greek, Egyptian, Roman and many other civilizations.
Christmas Around the World
After researching Christmas customs and traditions of countries throughout the world, students experience them firsthand through a culminating event that features hands-on activities and food sampling.
Seminole Indian Reservation
Students travel to the Seminole Indian Reservation for a day-long field trip that complements the fourth grade science and social studies curriculum.
Digging into Science
Students search for gemstones from special locations and turn one gemstone into a piece of jewelry.
Lower School Spelling Bee
The fourth and fifth grade Spelling Bee helps students improve their spelling, increase their vocabularies, learn concepts, and develop correct English usage.
5th Grade
St. Augustine Class Trip
Students visit St. Augustine, Florida's oldest city, for a 2-day field trip that supports the fifth grade social studies curriculum.
5th Grade Band
Band classes begin in fifth grade. In beginning band, students learn the fundamentals of wind, brass, and percussion instruments. The fifth grade band is featured in the spring concert.
Kravis Center Trip
Students attend plays and musical performances as part of the fine arts curriculum.
Lower School Spelling Bee
The fourth and fifth grade Spelling Bee helps students improve their spelling, increase their vocabularies, learn concepts, and develop correct English usage.
Lower School
Book Fair
Students can purchase Scholastic Books and are encouraged to read more through active participation in classroom activities, the book fair art contest, and special story times. This event enhances the Media Center’s resources and aids in building the teacher’s classroom libraries.
Colonial Day
Dressed in colonial attire, students imagine colonial life as the campus is transformed into a 1700’s era village, school, town inn and stockade. Experience the sights and sounds of making candles, churning butter, chopping wood, weaving cloth, making crafts, playing games, and caring for livestock. This special event takes place in alternating years with International Day.
International Day
Students explore another culture through authentic costumes, arts and crafts, games, story telling, and tasting an assortment of foods during an on-campus field experience. This special event takes place in alternating years with Colonial Day.
Middle School
Science Fair
Middle School students acquire knowledge and develop process skills while completing a research paper, display board and log book for each project. Science projects allow students to research and explore their areas of interest across a broad range of scientific areas.
Spirit Week
Promoting school spirit is the focus of this fall event planned by the middle school Student Council. Activities include special dress days, grade level competitions, and a pep rally.
Middle School Spelling Bee
The Middle School Spelling Bee helps students improve their spelling, increase their vocabularies, learn concepts, and develop correct English usage.
Band Concerts
Students participate in band as part of the fine arts program. Grade level bands perform for the school, church, and community throughout the year. Ensemble groups and jazz band are available for those students who would like to participate in additional performances.
Career Days
Middle School students interact with a diverse group of professional adults, who present possible future career paths and serve as positive role models in the community.
6th Grade Trip - Orlando, FL
Epcot is the destination of the sixth grade class trip. This class trip focuses on world cultures and complements the sixth grade social studies curriculum.
7th Grade Trip - Big Pine Key, FL
As part of the seventh grade study of marine biology, students attend Seacamp in the Florida Keys. Snorkeling, dissecting sea creatures, specimen collecting, and swimming with sharks are part of this three-day trip.
8th Grade Trip - Washington, D.C.
The eighth grade's study of United States history culminates with a three-day visit to our nation's capital. The trip includes a visit to the White House, Pentagon, museums, and historic buildings.
