The Gardner Merit Scholarship
The Gardner Merit Scholarship was established in 2011 through the generosity of a grandparent as a legacy for his three grandchildren who attended St. Mark's Episcopal School from 1998 to 2011.
St. Mark's Episcopal School will award two Gardner Merit Scholarships annually to rising sixth grade students (one existing St. Mark's student and one student wishing to attend St. Mark's School) who demonstrate academic achievement, as well as personal attributes that align with the School's core values.
Students interested in attending St. Mark's School may apply for the Gardner Merit Scholarship by filling out the attached forms. Each award covers fifty percent of the yearly tuition starting in sixth grade and can be awarded consecutively to the same student for seventh and eighth grade.
Selection Process
All rising sixth grade students interested in consideration for the Gardner Scholarship must submit a completed application, current report card, and teacher recommendation to St. Mark's Episcopal School by May 1, 2012. The selection committee will review all applications, and the selected scholarship recipient will be notified by the Head of St. Mark's Middle School on or before June 1, 2012.
