Welcome to St. Mark’s Episcopal School and the St. Mark’s Parents’ Association!
The St. Mark’s Parents’ Association (PA) is an active organization which works closely with faculty and staff to enrich our children’s lives at St. Mark’s School and strengthen the bond between the school and its families.
The PA sponsors events, organizes volunteers, and provides opportunities for parent involvement in the life of the school. We also are the primary fundraising arm of the school, raising funds for curriculum enrichment and physical enhancements to the campus. Needless to say, the PA makes a profound impact on the school, allowing St. Mark’s School and our children to flourish.
Volunteerism is the key to the success of our organization. A wealth of talent and skills exist within our community. We invite you to work with us. You can start by attending the monthly Parents’ Association meetings, joining a committee or volunteering to help with one of the numerous PA sponsored events. This school year will be a year of exciting changes for the Parents’ Association. We have added some new activities and adjusted the timing of many wonderful traditional events. Here are the highlights:
- The Annual Auction will move to the Spring this year (March 31, 2007);
- Family Fun Day will be replaced with a family Fall Festival (November 5, 2006);
- The Book Fair will take place in early October (October 2-6, 2006);
- We will host a fun day of shopping with "Christmas in October" (October 19, 2006);
- Lions Love Literature Day will be added to the calendar to commemorate Read Across America Day (March 2, 2007); and
- Fine Arts Week will be expanded to include a full week of art education and experiences, culminating in a family art festival (April 23-27, 2007).
Many thanks to all those people who help create the enriching environment of St. Mark’s Episcopal School. We hope that you will join us.
Have a terrific year!
